Nurturing the next generation of story tellers

Rise up! is a teaching artist program designed to connect Indigenous stories with students through an educational storytelling program.

Using literary texts written by Indigenous authors from all over the world, Studio Kiin’s teaching artists travel to schools and guide students through 45-60min workshops.

Join us for a practical & hands on workshop experience that will give students the opportunity to explore the characters and themes in books written by Indigenous authors and through voice and movement activities designed to build student’s skills and confidence in creativity.

Our workshops explore:

  • Poetry and spoken word

  • Drama

  • Creative writing

  • Dance and movement
