NZYWF: Whose stori is it anyway?

2024 • Ōtepoti, Aotearoa
Format: Writing workshop
Role: Facilitator
Summary: A deep-dive into relational and ethical storytelling at New Zealand Young Writers Festival. This workshop explored how writers are accountable to the communities, characters, and cultures they represent.

Format: Public workshops on AI, story sovereignty & the digital divide

Summary: As part of the joy persists program, Studio Kiin led participatory workshops on emerging technologies and Indigenous digital futures, foregrounding community knowledge and intergenerational dialogue.

Summary: A transformative lab for performing artists stepping into professional creative practice. This intensive covered essential tools for surviving and thriving as a freelance artist -beyond what is taught in formal training.

Summary: A mentorship for early-career artists commissioned by Perth Festival, offering narrative guidance and practice-led support in performance development. Public zine making workshop at closing event.

Tok Talanoa: Masi Making

2024 • Porirua, Aotearoa
Format: Public masi making workshop as part of the Tok Talanoa Melanesian Arts symposium
Role: Facilitator
Summary: Delivered as part of the Tok Talanoa Melanesian Arts Symposium, this hands-on workshop centred Melanesian knowledge through the art of masi. It created space for cultural sharing and artistic exchange between iTaukei and wider Pacific communities.

Mirrabooka -Think In

2021 • Facilitated community workshop (Boorloo)
Format: In-person think-in and graphic storying session
Role: Lead facilitator
Summary: Hosted on Nyoongar Country, The Mirrabooka Think In invited openness and collective dialogue from women from across Boorloo. Participants engaged in a collaborative space that was visually captured in real time by Chris Scoggin from Half The Sky, creating a living map of stories and ideas as they emerged.

Kolyang Creative Hub

Format: Three-week residency with facilitated labs, panels & creative development
Role: Lead facilitator & panelist
Summary: A future-focused hub fostering interdisciplinary exchange, the Kolyang Creative Hub brings together artists and industry leaders for three weeks of paid experimentation, reflection, and practice sharing. The program breaks down silos in the arts sector, encourages cross-sector knowledge exchange, and supports new models of collaboration and innovation.
